Day 01: Haridwar - Barkot
Haridwar/Dehradun – Barkot
Distance: 210 km | Travel Time: 7–8 hrs | Altitude: 1,352 m
On arrival at Haridwar or Dehradun Airport/Railway Station, begin your drive to Barkot via Mussoorie. En route, visit the beautiful Kempty Falls and enjoy a short break. Continue the journey to Barkot and check in at the hotel. The evening is at leisure to relax and prepare for the Yamunotri visit the next day. Overnight stay in Barkot.
Barkot is a peaceful hill town located on the banks of the Yamuna River, surrounded by lush greenery and apple orchards. It offers stunning views of the Bandar Poonch range and serves as an important stop for pilgrims travelling to Yamunotri and Gangotri.

Day 2: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot
Yamunotri Darshan – Barkot
36 km Drive + 6 km Trek (One Way) | Altitude: 3,291 m
Early in the morning, drive to Jankichatti and begin the trek to Yamunotri Temple. Pilgrims can complete the trek on foot or hire a pony/palki at their own expense. The route offers beautiful mountain views and refreshing natural surroundings.
At Yamunotri, take a holy dip in Jamunabai Kund, offer prayers at Divya Shila, and seek blessings of Goddess Yamuna. Devotees also prepare prasad in the hot waters of Surya Kund. After darshan, trek back to Jankichatti and drive to Barkot for an overnight stay.

Day 03: Barkot – Uttarkashi

Distance: 90 km | Travel Time: 4 hrs | Altitude: 1,352 m
After breakfast, drive to Uttarkashi and check in at your hotel. Later, visit the renowned Vishwanath Temple, one of the most important Shiva temples in the region. You can also visit the nearby Shakti Temple, famous for its giant Trishul, which is associated with Goddess Durga.
Situated on the banks of the Bhagirathi River, Uttarkashi is a sacred town known for its spiritual atmosphere and ancient temples. It is also home to the prestigious Nehru Institute of Mountaineering.
Weather: Summers are generally warm, while evenings remain pleasant. Winters can be quite cold.

Day 04: Uttarkashi - Gangotri - Uttarkashi
Gangotri Excursion – Uttarkashi
Distance: 100 km (each way) | Travel Time: 3–4 Hours | Altitude: 3,048 m
Early in the morning, drive to Gangotri. En route, stop at Gangnani and take a holy dip in the natural hot water spring. Continue through the beautiful Harsil Valley, known for its apple orchards, pine forests, and stunning mountain landscapes.
Upon arrival, visit the sacred Gangotri Temple and offer prayers to Goddess Ganga. Pilgrims can also spend some quiet time along the Bhagirathi River and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
After darshan, drive back to Uttarkashi for an overnight stay.

Day 05: Uttarkashi – Guptkashi

Distance: 220 km | Travel Time: 8–9 Hours | Altitude: 1,319 m
After breakfast, drive to Guptkashi. Along the way, enjoy beautiful views of the Mandakini River, which flows down from the Kedarnath region. The scenic mountain roads and river valleys make this journey especially enjoyable.
Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. In the evening, visit the famous Ardh Narishwar Temple, an important spiritual site dedicated to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
About Guptkashi:
Guptkashi is a sacred town with deep connections to Hindu mythology. According to legend, Lord Shiva stayed here while avoiding the Pandavas before appearing in Kedarnath. The town remains an important stop on the Char Dham route and is known for its religious significance and peaceful surroundings.

Day 06: Guptkashi - Kedarnath
Guptkashi – Kedarnath
Distance: 30 km Drive + 19 km Trek
Early in the morning, drive to Sonprayag and continue to Gaurikund by local shuttle vehicle (at your own expense). From Gaurikund, begin the trek to Kedarnath. Pilgrims may choose to travel on foot or hire a pony or palki at an additional cost. Carry essential items such as warm clothing, personal medicines, and basic necessities for the stay.
Upon reaching Kedarnath, visit the revered Kedarnath Temple, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Surrounded by majestic Himalayan peaks, the temple offers a truly spiritual and unforgettable experience.
About Kedarnath:
According to Hindu mythology, the Pandavas sought Lord Shiva’s blessings after the Mahabharata war. Lord Shiva took the form of a bull and disappeared into the earth at Kedarnath. The different parts of his body are believed to have appeared at various locations, now known as the sacred Panch Kedar temples.

Day 07: Kedarnath – Guptkashi

Distance: 19 km Trek + 30 km Drive
Early in the morning, visit Kedarnath Temple for darshan and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva. Those interested may attend the morning rituals and experience the peaceful atmosphere of this sacred shrine.
After completing the temple visit, begin the trek back to Gaurikund. Upon arrival, continue to Sonprayag by local shuttle service (at your own expense) and then drive to Guptkashi.
On reaching Guptkashi, check in at the hotel and relax after the day’s journey.

Day 08: Guptkashi - Badrinath

After breakfast, drive to Badrinath via Joshimath, enjoying the scenic Himalayan landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax. In the evening, visit the sacred Badrinath Temple to attend the evening aarti and seek the blessings of Lord Vishnu.
Badrinath is one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in India and a key part of the Char Dham Yatra. Nestled between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges, the temple offers a truly divine atmosphere.

Day 09: Badrinath –Rudraprayag
Badrinath – Rudraprayag / Kirtinagar
Distance: 160 km to Rudraprayag | 200 km to Kirtinagar
Start the day with a holy bath at Tapt Kund followed by darshan at the sacred Badrinath Temple. Pilgrims may also perform rituals for their ancestors at Brahma Kapal. Later, visit nearby attractions including Mana Village, Vyas Gufa, Bhim Pul, Charan Paduka, and the origin point of the Saraswati River.
After sightseeing, begin your drive towards Rudraprayag or Kirtinagar via Joshimath. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and relax for the evening.
About Joshimath:
Joshimath is an important pilgrimage town and the winter seat of Lord Badrinath. It is known for its ancient temples, including the famous Narsingh Temple, and holds great religious significance in the Himalayan region.

Day 10: Rudraprayag – Rishikesh- Haridwar
Rudraprayag / Kirtinagar – Rishikesh – Haridwar
Distance: 160 km / 5 Hours | Kirtinagar to Haridwar: 135 km / 4 Hours
After breakfast, drive towards Rishikesh, one of India’s most revered spiritual destinations, situated on the banks of the sacred Ganga River. Surrounded by the Shivalik Hills, the town is known for its peaceful atmosphere, temples, and yoga centers.
Spend some time exploring the city’s famous landmarks and soaking in its spiritual charm before continuing your journey to Haridwar.
